Khenpo Tenzin Dorjee
Khenpo Tenzin Dorjee was born in 1986 to Tsering Phuntsok Lama and Tsewang Sangmo in Tsum Chokang, Chumnubri Rural Municipality-7, Gorkha, Nepal.
In 1998, at the age of twelve, he entered Thrangu Monastery with the guidance of Dungse Lama Pema Rinpoche. He received refuge ordination and pravarjya (monastic ordination) from His Eminence the 9th Thrangu Rinpoche. From then on, he began studying basic Tibetan reading and writing, Buddhist rituals, torma (ritual offering art), and ritual musical instruments.
He also attended Shree Mangal Dvip School, where he studied English, Nepali, and other subjects from the national curriculum.
In 2003, he joined the Vajra Vidya Institute in Sarnath for higher Buddhist studies, where he studied Buddhist philosophy, literature, poetry, and the essential Buddhist texts. In 2012, he graduated with the title of Acharya(equivalent to a Master’s degree in the monastic tradition). Recognizing his brilliance and deep knowledge, H.E. Thrangu Rinpoche appointed him as a teacher at Vajra Vidya Institute.
In 2020, His Eminence Thrangu Rinpoche appointed him as Khenpo (abbot) of Vajra Vidya Institute, in recognition of his potential to benefit the wider community through the teaching and preservation of the Dharma. Since then, he has been serving continuously as Khenpo, guiding students and supporting monastic education.
Khenpo Tenzin Dorjee also visits Tsum Monastery annually during the Grand Tsechu Sadhana gathering, where he offers teachings to the participants. In addition, he is in charge of training new monks at Tsum Monastery and serves as a mentor and guide to the monastic community there.

Acharya Pasang Tashi
Acharya Pasang Tashi was born on July 30, 1988, in Namo Buddha to Tholo Tamang and Maya Tamang. At the age of twelve, he was ordained as a monk at Thrangu Monastery by His Eminence the 9th Thrangu Rinpoche, with the guidance and support of the Very Venerable Dungse Pema Rinpoche. He began his education by learning basic Tibetan reading and writing, later enrolling at Shree Mangal Dvip School, where he received a secular education.
In 1995, he received full ordination from His Eminence the 9th Thrangu Rinpoche. In 2004, he joined the Monastic College and graduated in 2008 with the title of Acharya. Following this, he was appointed Chanting Master at Thrangu Monastery in Boudha, a role he served with dedication for two years.
He later joined the Boudha Jagaran Centre, where he worked as an educator for nearly a decade, teaching Tibetan, Nepali, and English to students of all age groups.
In 2022, Acharya Pasang Tashi founded his own organization, Dharma Light Center, through which he offers Buddhist teachings. He continues to lead this organization to the present day.
At the request of Dungse Rinpoche, he began teaching young monks at Tsum Monastery. Reflecting on this opportunity, he shared, “Dungse Rinpoche has been very kind and supportive when I needed it the most. Therefore, I feel blessed and happy to be able to serve at his monastery.” In addition to teaching the monks, he also conducts classes for local community members to learn how to read and chant Buddhist texts.
Acharya Pasang Tashi is known for his dedication, motivation, and deep commitment to sharing the Dharma.
